A few months ago, in the city of Qamishli, located in the Kurdish-led autonomous region of Northeast Syria, also known as Rojava, the Council of Religions was established. Led by civilian representatives from the area’s diverse faiths, the Council aims to ensure that all communities, especially those who have faced discrimination, are included and can voice their concerns to the institutions.
